About CoolPianoKeyboards.com

Why Build This Website?

Piano keyboard picture

Cool Piano Keyboards (CPK) was built with the beginning piano player in mind. We want it to help you select the best keyboard for your needs, especially if you don't have thousands of dollars to invest in a piano but would still like to learn to play.

We're all big music fans at CPK. We appreciate the standards written by the songwriters of the Tin Pan Alley era such as the Gershwin brothers and Cole Porter. We dig the blues, jazz, and classical music. That's why we know how important it is to practice in order to create nice sounds and how much a good keyboard can help facilitate that.

What Makes CoolPianoKeyboards (CPK) Different?

Unlike Casio, Yamaha, or any of the other big brand names out there, we aren't biased towards one type of keyboard because we don't make them. We just use them. We're independent, aspiring musicians who just want to educate people about great electronic keyboards that will help a beginning pianist get better.

If you're a kid trying to convince your Mom or Dad to buy you a keyboard, you can use us as a reference. Here's how you would cite this page in MLA format for a bibliography (You would change the date "3 Mar. 2010" to the date you accessed this website):

"About Cool Piano Keyboards." CoolPianoKeyboards. 11 Feb. 2010. 3 Mar. 2010. <http://www.coolpianokeyboards.com/aboutcoolpianokeyboards.com>

Now you can tell your parents CPK taught you how to cite a web page in a bibliography.

Who Could Benefit Most From This Site?

In all seriousness, the person who could benefit most from CPK is someone who is trying to learn piano for the first time but needs to buy a keyboard to facilitate their practice. If you want a quick checklist of features to look for as a beginner, check out our home page. It tells you some basic things to look for when you want a keyboard that will make you feel like you're playing a piano.

We also suggest you check out some of our reviews of keyboards like the Casio PX-320 Privia Digital Piano in the navigation menu. We tell you about optional equipment you can buy to enhance your playing experience as well, since not every keyboard comes with a stand or all 3 piano pedals.

We hope you have fun learning to play your keyboards!
